Job Summary

Head of Business Unit will be responsible for overall performance of the relevant business unit, accountable for leading the overall management of sales strategies, sales and marketing activities, customer service and R&D. Head of Business Unit will manage and review performance of all business unit-based teams and provide the right leadership and collaboration to drive success and address issues. Close collaboration will be required with senior management and production leadership teams to provide key opportunities, inputs and updates.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and drive sales strategy and business plans to achieve ambitious sales goals
  • Responsible for sales targets to improve profitability
  • Demonstrate product expertise, new product introduction experience, procedure excellence and applicable law and regulations compliance
  • Plan and direct research & development activities and liaise with central R&D executives
  • Drive customer support and national /international customer satisfaction
  • Establish relationships with external and internal clients, key surgeons, key accounts and associations
  • Demonstrate a lead role is acquisition of new customers and new territories
  • Responsible for leading teams highly collaboratively and with prioritising ability to maximise sales opportunities
  • Provide on-going performance management, mentoring, coaching and development of a diverse team of individuals to deliver an engaged, motivated and high performing team
  • Collaborate extensively at all organisational levels with key internal partners to build effective operating networks


Ideal Candidate

BA/BS degree or equivalent required in Business Administration/Sales/Economics

Technical attitude is desired

A minimum of 10 years of business and 5 years of leadership experience is required

Experience in working within a matrix organisational environment

Fluency in English

Excellent listening, oral and written communication and the ability to make impactful presentations

Strong negotiation skills, ability to influence others, success oriented approach

Demonstrated leadership capability, ability to engage, motivate and develop individuals

Strong customer understanding and customer focus approach

Driving licence
