2019 year evaluation

Dear Partner,
The end of the year is approaching and this is the time when we look back to make a summary of what has happened – this is no different at Sanatmetal. We are closing a year full of challenges but also of plenty of success. Let us give you a summary of the most important milestones we have achieved in 2019.
Following the opening of the Obninsk plant in 2018, this year we have registered our knee, trauma, and hip products in Russia. This means that the products of Sanatmetal CIS now qualify as Russian-made products therefore they enjoy priority on the Russian market over foreign products and a bigger demand is expected on the Eurasian market too. Nothing proves it more than the fact that our subsidiary has recently received an order worth 200 million Russian ruble.
The number of awards we have won has also increased this year.  Sanatmetal was given the HungarianBrands award in “Excellent Business Brand” and “Innovative Brand” categories.
On top of that, our diagnostic device, the WIWE mini ECG ( www.mywiwe.com ) has also won several awards. WIWE was given the “2018 IT Innovation Award”, the “TOP 10 Most Interesting Hungarian Innovation Award and Special Award” and the “Gyúrós Tibor Award”, announced by IVSZ (Association of the Digital Economy), in „Innovation of the Year” category. WIWE was also given the „Product Design” award at the South-European Design Month and the “Quality-Innovation 2019 Award” by the Hungarian representative of the European Organization for Quality.
This year we have attended several exhibitions and met our partners both in Hungary as well as abroad. Exhibitions attended include EFORT in Portugal, the Eurasian Forum in Moscow, the Congress of the Hungarian Traumatology and Hungarian Orthopaedic Societies, the congress of the Hungarian Paediatric Trauma Assembly, the Hungarian Hand Surgery Congress, and the Hungarian Podiatric Congress.
We are especially proud of the recently launched Sanat Academy, our own training system. Our goal is to educate hundreds of surgeons and operating assistant personnel annually, both in Hungary and abroad, regarding the proper use of our products. Besides this, we strive to make Eger the centre of international traumatology-orthopaedic-spine training. Our first training was held in November, in Eger, with outstanding success.
We have also achieved a milestone regarding MDR, the new regulation concerning medical devices. In September, Hungarian-based CE Certiso Ltd. has taken over the validation of our traumatology, spine surgery and dental implants from BSI and now they validate our orthopaedic products too.
Sanatmetal was also issued two new patents this year by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office regarding our Magic Trochanter nailing system.
Based on Hungarian and international feedback, the quality and innovation-content of our products have achieved and, in some cases, even surpassed those of offered by world-leading companies. The New Year’s challenge is to provide the same world-leading standards in the field of services and surgeon training for our Partners.
