A Closer Look at Specializations: Logistics Coordination

To an outside observer, receiving an order may seem like a simple process. Behind the scenes, however, precise administration, continuous communication and fast problem-solving are needed to ensure that every product reaches the right place on time. In the next part of our series, we take a closer look at the often unseen yet essential work of logistics coordination.

The team is in daily contact with domestic hospitals, international business partners, subsidiaries and WIWE users. They process orders, coordinate deliveries, respond to questions and help find the right solutions when unexpected situations arise.

However, logistics coordination involves much more than simply entering orders. An urgent request, a time-critical delivery or missing information may require immediate action at any moment. The team must respond quickly, assess the available options and align partner requirements with Sanatmetal’s operational needs.

Serving customers does not mean fulfilling every request unconditionally. The goal is always to build professional, reliable and long-term partnerships. The accuracy and timeliness of each delivery are not only about completing an order, but also about maintaining trust. For the team, the expressions “my hospital” and “my partner” are therefore more than just words – they represent a genuine sense of responsibility.

The logistics coordinators are also becoming increasingly involved in inventory activities. Managing consignment stock counts and returns requires continuous communication and a high level of accuracy: as many as 10–20 boxes of domestic and international returns may pass through the department in a single day. At the same time, the team continues to expand its product knowledge and take on a growing number of inventory logistics responsibilities.

The department brings together many strong personalities, but its true value lies in teamwork. Whenever an urgent solution or an end-of-month push is needed, everyone works towards the same goal: providing our partners with reliable, high-quality service.
